This professional development will introduce teachers to arts integration as an effective method of classroom instruction. Paticipants will learn the basics of the Arts Education Initative in their school and easy activities to incorporate the arts into their pre-exhisting lesson. Breakfast, lunch, and stipend provided.

The DC Collaborative works with its members to provide equitable access to arts and humanities education for ALL DC public and chartered public schools for the growth of the WHOLE child.
The DC Collaborative promotes quality arts and humanities education for all DC public and chartered public schools for the growth of the whole child. To accomplish this citywide effort, the DC Collaborative draws on the resources of more than 60 arts and humanities cultural organizations that compose our membership. The two major programs of the DC Collaborative include Arts for Every Student, and the Arts Education Initiative Professional Development Program.
